About the Founder and Head Roaster:
Jorge Soto
Our founder has been a coffee connoisseur for more than 5 years. Currently, he researches and educates himself on everything and anything coffee related. From crop to cup, he is dedicated to perfecting the coffee experience.
Our founder is originally from Mexico and has a sweet spot in his heart for Mexican coffee beans. He is a simple man with simple needs, he drinks medium roast coffee in the morning before the day starts but prefers a chocolatey dark roast in the afternoon. What about his hockey life you ask? (You didn’t ask but you have no choice now!) Our founder has been playing ice hockey for over 7 years across many different divisions. Currently, he plays for Mexico in a Division 2 club that competes every year in the LATAM Cup - Wolves, Mexico. He also wears the “C” in San Diego for two local Beer League teams - Los Modelos Hockey Club and Motley Goons Hockey Club. Lastly, our founder runs a travel hockey team – San Diego Animal Style HC – that competes in many tournaments across the world.
